In Memory of Linda Clausen

 

On October 23, 2009, The Center lost a faithful friend who found peace and strength for her body, mind and spirit as a devoted student of T'ai Chi Chih.  For three years, Linda Clausen was committed to developing her skill with this moving meditation practice.  As she learned more about T'ai Chi Chih, we learned more about Linda's loveliness.

 

Linda remained a supporter of The Center even when she was too ill to be here physically.  Before she died she asked that her memorial donations be given to The Center.  This issue of Sphere has been underwritten by those donations, and we dedicate it to her memory with love and gratitude.

GREEN MATTERS!  Indeed it does!   "Going Green" is not just a matter of political or cultural "correctness," it is a moral obligation.  Join us for this evening of earthy reflections on ecology and spirituality to see more clearly that caring for our planet can be a spiritual practice, and perhaps, your New Year's resultion.

Gabriele Uhlein is a theologian, an artist and an engaging presenter.  As a Franciscan sister, she is inspired by Francis of Assisi's mystical appreciation of our oneness with all creation.
